This summer I worked some in the ceramics studio continuing with my shellac resist projects started in the fall. I tried some glazes to go with this technique and this is an ongoing process. I also took a drawing class and my second spanish class. Thank God that is over. Now I am thinking of new aproaches in ceramics. I would like to continue my resist techniques and my connection with nature in my work. The pictures shown are entries into the Kentucky State Fair 2010. No ribbon on the wall hanging or geodes but a blue on the miniature hostas and two honorable mentions on the other two ceramic pieces. As you see I am competitive and love the fair although, this year I will be glad when the fair is over and I can concentrate on my classes.  In addition to the nature directions I have been considering some Chihulysque pieces. I am a big fan of Chihuly glass and would like to give my interpretation in ceramic.  I am looking forward to taveling to Nashville to see his exhibit at Cheekwood Gardens before it closes in October. Anyone in for a road trip?
